Since the reopening on May 12, the Keltenwelt am Glauberg has once again been presenting something "new from the Glauberg". In the summer of 2019, employees of Keltenwelt am Glauberg conducted an archaeological experiment together with members of the Glauburg local history association and the Konradsdorf comprehensive school. The results are now being presented in a special exhibition. On the occasion of its originally planned launch, representatives of the participating institutions met on February 3. Dr. Rupp, Director of the Keltenwelt am Glauberg, thanked the active pupils of the Konradsdorf comprehensive school in particular. In addition, the principal Mrs. Bingel received vouchers for all those who were active. Together with their families, the pupils will be able to view the fruits of their work free of charge in future.
The starting point for the experiment and the exhibition are pieces of clay that were recovered during the 2018 excavation campaign on the Glauberg plateau. According to experts, they represent the remains of a medieval roof covering. A hypothesis that was tested in the experiment.
The special exhibition "Mission Lehmschindel - an experiment as a school cooperation project" can be visited from Tuesday to Sunday during normal opening hours until October 2020.
