New foundation: Celtic World at Glauberg opened the Celtic World Academy

New educational offerings from the Archaeological State Museum of Hesse launched on 3 May 2025
The Celtic World at Glauberg officially opened its newly founded Celtic World Academy on May 3, 2025. It offers a diverse continuing education program with lectures, excursions, workshops, and seminars, providing opportunities for personal development, new perspectives, and meaningful engagement. Participants deepened their knowledge in the fields of archaeology, science and research, social skills, and the regional characteristics of the Glauberg region.

became Celtic World Ambassadors!
For anyone who wants to get more actively involved, the academy offers the opportunity for certified training as a Celtic World Ambassador. The ambassadors volunteer to support the museum at events and trade fairs and actively shape the cultural communication of the Celtic World at Glauberg.

A place of exchange and engagement
"The Celtic World at Glauberg is not just an archaeological museum, but also a place of identification for the region's citizens," said Marcus Coesfeld, director of the Celtic World at Glauberg. "With the Celtic World Academy, we are providing them with a new platform for exchanging ideas on archaeological and social topics – and the opportunity to actively participate in the work of the Celtic World at Glauberg."

In addition to classic archaeological topics, the Celtic World Academy also addresses socially relevant topics, such as storytelling in education, dealing with right-wing extremist positions, communication in difficult situations, and violence prevention. The Celtic World Academy thus sees itself as an interface between cultural education, political education, and civic engagement. All information about the Academy can be found here: https://akademie.keltenwelt-glauberg.de/

Free participation for members of the support association!
The Celtic World Academy was made possible by the financial support of the Friends of the Celtic World at Glauberg. This enabled Birgit Moskalenko to be recruited to coordinate the project. As a qualified adult educator, she has a wealth of experience. Furthermore, all of the Celtic World Academy's offerings are free for members of the Friends of the Academy. Membership can be applied for at www.keltenwelt-glauberg.de/museum/foerderverein.
