Guided tour of Konradsdorf Monastery on the topic of "Religion"„
Built Faith – Religious Form in the Staufer Era
In the Middle Ages, a consecrated Christian church was more than just a building with solid walls and a roof – individual architectural elements, findings, and artifacts tell a much richer story. Here, faith was lived and religion was experienced firsthand. What was essential for a church service in the monastery church, and what traces of it remain visible today? Who was buried in the church – and why? Can we also find evidence of medieval Christianity, both built and lived, in the provost's residence? This guided tour aims to shed light on the significance of religion in the lives of medieval believers and showcases places where faith was truly lived.
