Virtuelle Realität am Glauberg

Virtual Reality at Glauberg

The Glauberg Research Center has been working with the TU Darmstadt (Department of Digital Design) to develop an application for VR glasses that will explain aspects of Iron Age life at Glauberg. The aim is not to immerse users in pseudo-realistic worlds, but to demonstrate the ambiguity of archaeological reconstructions (e.g. of a wall, a gate or a house) and to let them participate in the scientific basis of reconstructions.

The first version of the application will be on display at Glauberg on October 23rd and 28th. The experiences of the first users will be recorded using questionnaires and incorporated into further development.
