A tour around the monastery spur
The tour explores the archaeological and historical traces surrounding the Konradsdorf monastery spur, one of the best-researched medieval monastery sites in Hesse. Based on the structural remains and the findings of recent investigations, it becomes clear how life and the use of the former Premonstratensian convent changed over the centuries. The route offers a concise overview of the historical topography of the area.
Note: The path is unpaved and includes some steep ascents and descents. Please be aware that the path, the monastery grounds, and access to the buildings are not wheelchair accessible and currently lack restroom facilities. Sturdy footwear and a reasonable level of fitness are therefore strongly recommended. Depending on the group's mobility, the actual duration may vary from the stated time.
