Guided tour: From the stony river to the lava flows at Glauberg

The excursion explores the geological development of the Glauberg, from the Pleistocene "Stone River" to the volcanic processes that shaped the landscape. At selected points, typical rocks, formations, and their origins will be explained. The guided tour is aimed at interested laypersons and offers an accessible introduction to regional geology and natural history.

Note: The trail is unpaved and includes a steep ascent and descent. It is not wheelchair accessible. Sturdy footwear and a minimum level of fitness are therefore strongly recommended. Depending on the group's mobility, the actual duration may vary from the stated time.
