Guided tour: The fascinating world of bees

Bees are so much more than just honey producers – they are truly wondrous creatures! In this guided tour, offered in cooperation with the Celtic World at Glauberg, we delve into the fascinating world of bees and discover why they are indispensable for us humans and our environment. The beehives are located directly at Glauberg and can be reached from the museum in just about five minutes on foot – ideal conditions for getting to know the bees in their natural habitat.

Depending on the age group and prior knowledge, the topics include exciting questions such as:

  • How do bees actually live together – and who does what in the bee colony?
  • How do bees find their food and how do they communicate with each other?
  • Why are bees so important for plants, agriculture, and our daily food?
  • What distinguishes honeybees from wild bees?
  • And what can we do ourselves to protect bees?

In a vivid, interactive way, and with many surprising insights, we get to know these tiny insects in a big way – from their first flight to the finished honey. Playful and fascinating for children, and offering exciting background information and current connections for teenagers and adults.

A guided tour for anyone who wants to take a closer look – and afterwards see the world of bees with completely different eyes.
