Reading: Salt Mountain Goddess

Jutta Leskovar, a prehistorian from Upper Austria, will present her novel "Salzberg-Göttin" (Salt Mountain Goddess). It tells the story of the people who mined salt 2,600 years ago at the UNESCO World Heritage site of Hallstatt and were in contact with much of Central Europe. Archaeological facts are interwoven with a captivating narrative that explores what life might have been like. The reading will also offer brief previews of the sequels, "Salzbergerbin" (Salt Mountain Heiress) and "Salzbergtod" (Salt Mountain Death).
