Celtic World Lecture: Martial Arts and Cultural History Using the Example of Glauberg
Lecture by Marcus Coesfeld M.Ed.
The history of mankind is closely linked to physical conflict. But fighting has always been more than just a necessity - it developed into an art form. The Glauberg is a place where traces of human martial arts and cultural history over thousands of years can be seen. Archaeological finds from the Glauberg and the surrounding region testify to the importance of fighting in different eras. This lecture will use these finds to shed light on the development of martial arts and demonstrate their cultural dimensions.
