UNFORTUNATELY CANCELLED!!! Celtic World Lecture: Current Excavations around the Glauberg
Lecture by Hardy Prison MA, District Archaeologist in the State Office for Monument Preservation Hesse
The Wetterau district is the district with the most archaeological sites in all of Hesse. This is due to the fertile loess soils, the predominantly mild climate, and the convenient location. Due to the intense construction activity of recent years, numerous archaeological investigations had to be conducted to preserve and document the rich cultural heritage. This lecture will present some of these measures from recent years. New excavations and finds in the wider area around the Glauberg will also be presented. The chronological framework will range from the Neolithic period to the Roman period.
