Holiday Program – Time Travel
The Wetterau is one of the first settled regions in Germany, where agriculture and livestock farming began as early as 5,500 BC. But not only traces from the Neolithic period have been preserved in many places, but also finds from the Bronze and Iron Ages.
The Romans shaped life on the Limes for a long time and relics from the Middle Ages can be seen everywhere. Embark on an interesting journey through time in our museum garden. Which find belongs to which era?
Together with the Wetterau Archaeological Society Glauberg (WAGG), we are organizing a special hands-on program this Easter holiday, where you can and should assign various objects - such as tools and everyday objects - to the respective eras. You will not only learn interesting things about the use of the objects from the Neolithic period to the Middle Ages, but also some interesting facts about the settlement of the region.
This project can also be booked as a school or holiday project at WAGG. For more information, please contact museum@keltenwelt-glauberg.de.
