Family Sunday – Coin Workshop
The Keltenwelt am Glauberg offers a hands-on programme for children and adults on this Sunday.
Coin workshop
With patience, fire and hammer, goldsmith scales and punches, visitors of all ages can create their own shiny silver coins based on Celtic originals.
Each participant or family can strike coins with a total weight of 20g of tin. Visitors can carry out all the steps of preparation, ie forging the raw material, cutting/separating it, weighing the raw material, weighing the raw material with a beam balance and putting it into punch plates, right up to striking the motif/coin image themselves or putting the coin image together themselves using punches.
