Family Sunday – With torches and sparks “upcycling with a difference”

The Keltenwelt am Glauberg offers a hands-on programme for children and adults on this Sunday.

With torches and sparks
A torch can be made from an old holey bed sheet! In our upcycling offer, a thousand-year-old light source is created using slightly different materials than usual...

If you have leftover wax (candle remains) or old, worn-out cotton bedding, bring it with you to Glauberg and make wonderful torches out of it! You will also learn about flint and the first sparks that people struck... and how you didn't have to sit in the dark in a time without electric light.
