Opening of the Blacksmith Pavilion – demonstration and participation program

To mark the opening of our new blacksmith pavilion, there will be a full-day holiday activity on August 1st and 2nd.

On both days, not only will the blacksmith's craft from Celtic times be demonstrated, but also the production of iron in a blast furnace will be shown. Anyone who wants to get involved will have the opportunity to make a piece of iron themselves and take it home from Glauberg as a souvenir.

On August 1st, the pavilion will be opened by Angela Dorn (Minister for Science and Art) and Prof. Dr. Udo Recker (State Archaeologist of Hesse) at 11am.

Admission to the museum garden is free.
