ONCE THE SEAT OF CELTIC RULERS – TODAY A POPULAR TRIP DESTINATION AND AREA FOR ARCHAEOLOGICAL RESEARCH

The Glauberg has been inhabited on and off since the Neolithic period around 7,000 years ago and experienced its heyday around 2,400 years ago during the Celtic period. The 80,000 m² mountain plateau was the seat of Celtic rulers at the time. In the High Middle Ages, the Glauberg was characterised by an imperial castle. The exciting exploration of the Glauberg is being continued by our research centre.

Many traces of the Glauberg's history can be explored along the Keltenwelt trail across the plateau.

Nature lovers will find an extremely diverse range of flora and fauna here.

Further information on the mountain’s eventful history can be found at: Research Center

The area is freely accessible during the day, but at your own risk and without admission.
